We stand behind the quality of our 3D printers and related products. This Warranty Policy explains the terms and conditions of the warranty coverage provided for products purchased directly from our Site.
By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Warranty Policy.
1. Definitions
For purposes of this policy:
"Product" means any 3D printer, accessory, part, or other item sold on our Site
"Site" means our website located at www.gearvita.com
"We," "us," "our" means GearVita
"You," "your" means the original purchaser of the product
"Original purchaser" means the person or entity who originally purchased the product from us
"Warranty period" means the time period during which this warranty applies
"Normal use" means use of the product in accordance with the product documentation and instructions
"Manufacturing defect" means a defect in materials or workmanship that existed at the time of manufacture
2. Warranty Coverage Overview
2.1 What Is Covered
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship that occur during normal use of the product.
2.2 Who Is Covered
This warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the product. Warranty is non-transferable. If you purchased a used product or acquired it from someone other than us or an authorized reseller, this warranty does not apply.
2.3 Warranty Periods

Note for EU Customers: If you are located in the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, or Iceland, you may have additional rights under applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in this warranty limits your statutory rights.
3. Detailed Warranty Periods
3.1 3D Printers
All 3D printer main units are covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of receipt. This covers manufacturing defects in the printer's mechanical and electronic components.
3.2 Accessories and Parts
Standard accessories and replacement parts are covered by a 1-month warranty from the date of receipt, unless otherwise specified.
3.3 Filament Dryers
Filament dryers and similar equipment are covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of receipt.
3.4 Extruder Assemblies
Extruder assemblies and similar sub-assemblies are covered by a 3-month warranty from the date of receipt.
3.5 Special Components
Some components may have different warranty periods. Please check the product documentation or contact us for specific information.
4. Items Not Covered by Warranty
The following items are NOT covered by this warranty:
4.1 Consumable Parts
Consumable parts are considered wear and tear items and are not covered by warranty. These include but are not limited to:
Nozzles – All types and sizes
Build plates / Print beds – Including magnetic sheets, glass plates, and coatings
PTFE tubes – All sizes and types
Adhesive sheets and tapes
Filament – All materials (PLA, PETG, ABS, resin, TPU, etc.)
Resin tanks / VATs
FEP films
Build surface stickers
Filters – Air filters, carbon filters
Bed adhesives and glues
4.2 Normal Wear and Tear
This warranty does not cover normal deterioration of the product due to use, including but not limited to:
Cosmetic scratches and blemishes
Fading of colors or markings
Minor performance changes over time
4.3 Damage Caused by User
This warranty does not cover damage caused by:
Misuse or abuse – Using the product in a manner not intended or outside specified parameters
Improper assembly – Incorrect assembly or installation
Negligence – Failure to perform recommended maintenance
Accidents – Drops, impacts, spills, or other accidental damage
Improper maintenance – Using incorrect cleaning methods or materials
Environmental factors – Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, or corrosive environments
4.4 Modifications and Alterations
This warranty is void if the product has been:
Modified – Any physical modifications, alterations, or repairs
Disassembled – Opened or disassembled by anyone other than authorized service personnel
Third-party parts – Fitted with non-original or third-party components
Third-party firmware – Loaded with custom or unofficial firmware
Bypassed safety features – Safety mechanisms disabled or bypassed
4.5 Third-Party Components
Damage caused by use of:
Non-recommended filament or resin
Third-party accessories or parts
Incompatible software
Unapproved cleaning or maintenance products
4.6 Improper Use
Damage caused by:
Failure to follow instructions in the product documentation
Operating the product outside specified environmental or technical parameters
Using the product for purposes other than its intended use
Overloading or overworking the product
4.7 Electrical Issues
Damage caused by:
Power surges or incorrect voltage
Use of improper power supplies or chargers
Lightning strikes or electrical storms
Failure to unplug during electrical storms
4.8 Print Failures
This warranty does not cover:
Failed prints
Wasted filament or resin
Time lost due to print failures
Damage to printed objects
Any consequential damages from print failures
4.9 Software Issues
This warranty does not cover:
Issues arising from third-party software
Compatibility issues with slicing software
Bugs or errors in custom firmware
Software configuration problems
5. Warranty Conditions
To be eligible for warranty service, you must:
5.1 Valid Proof of Purchase
You must provide valid proof of purchase, which can be:
Order number from our Site
Original receipt or invoice
Email order confirmation
5.2 Original Product
The product must be the original product purchased from us. Warranty claims on products purchased from unauthorized resellers or second-hand markets will not be honored.
5.3 No Modifications
The product must not have been modified, including:
No physical modifications or alterations
No third-party parts installed
No custom firmware (unless officially approved by us)
5.4 Not User-Caused
The issue must not be caused by user error, misuse, or negligence as outlined in Section 4.
5.5 Timely Reporting
Issues must be reported within a reasonable time after discovery. For defects that should have been discovered upon receipt (such as shipping damage or obvious manufacturing defects), reporting should occur within 7 days.
6. Warranty Claim Process
6.1 Step 1: Troubleshooting
Before filing a warranty claim, please:

Check our website for FAQs and troubleshooting articles
Ensure you are using the product as intended with recommended settings and materials
6.2 Step 2: Contact Customer Support

6.3 Step 3: Receive RMA Number
Within 3 business days, we will:
Review your claim
Request additional information if needed
Provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number if the claim qualifies
Provide return instructions if physical return is required
Important: Do not return any product without an RMA number. Returns without a valid RMA number may be refused or significantly delayed.
6.4 Step 4: Return Product (If Required)
If physical return is required:
Pack the product securely in original packaging if possible
Include all accessories, parts, and documentation that came with the product
Write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package
Ship to the address provided by our customer service team
Use a trackable shipping method and keep your tracking number
6.5 Step 5: Inspection and Resolution
Once we receive the returned product:
Our technicians will inspect the product within 5 business days
We will verify whether the issue is covered by warranty
We will determine the appropriate remedy (repair, replacement, or other)
We will notify you of the outcome
7. Warranty Remedies
7.1 Our Options
If a valid warranty claim is made, we will, at our sole discretion:
Repair the defective product
Replace the defective product with a comparable product (new or refurbished)
Provide replacement parts for self-repair (if applicable)
Issue store credit for the purchase price
Issue refund to original payment method (rare, at our discretion)
7.2 Replacement Products
If we replace a product:
Replacement products may be new or refurbished
Replacement products are covered by the remainder of the original warranty period, not a new warranty period
Replaced products become our property
7.3 No Other Remedies
The remedies described in this warranty policy are your sole and exclusive remedies for any breach of warranty. We are not responsible for any consequential damages, including but not limited to:
Lost profits or revenue
Lost time or productivity
Wasted materials (filament, resin, etc.)
Damage to other property
Any other incidental or consequential damages
8. Shipping Costs for Warranty Claims
8.1 Within Warranty Period
For valid warranty claims:
Customer ships to us: You are responsible for shipping costs to return the product to us. We recommend using a trackable method and purchasing insurance.
We ship to you: We will pay for shipping of repaired or replacement products back to you (standard shipping only; expedited shipping at customer's expense).
8.2 Out-of-Warranty or Non-Covered Claims
If your claim is:
Outside the warranty period
Not covered by warranty (user error, modification, etc.)
Then:
You are responsible for all shipping costs (both to us and for return of the product)
We may charge diagnostic fees if you request inspection
We will not perform repairs without your approval of any associated costs
8.3 International Warranty Claims
For international customers:
You are responsible for shipping costs to return the product to our designated service center
You are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and import fees
We will pay for standard shipping of repaired/replacement products back to you
International returns may take significantly longer due to customs clearance
9. Out-of-Warranty Service
9.1 Paid Repairs
If your warranty has expired or your issue is not covered, we may offer paid repair services. Contact us for a quote.
9.2 Replacement Parts
We offer replacement parts for purchase on our Site. You can perform self-repairs using genuine GearVita parts.
9.3 Diagnostic Fees
For out-of-warranty inspections, we may charge a diagnostic fee. This fee will be waived if you approve the repair quote or purchase replacement parts from us.
10. Software and Firmware
10.1 Software Warranty
Software is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that:
Software will be error-free or uninterrupted
Software will be compatible with all hardware or operating systems
Defects in software will be corrected
10.2 Firmware Updates
We may provide firmware updates from time to time. These updates are provided "AS IS" and may:
Improve performance
Add new features
Fix known issues
Installing firmware updates is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any issues arising from firmware updates, including but not limited to:
Print quality changes
Compatibility issues
Hardware malfunctions after update
10.3 Custom Firmware
Using custom or third-party firmware:
Immediately voids the hardware warranty
May cause permanent damage to the printer
May create safety hazards
Is done entirely at your own risk
We provide no support for printers running custom firmware.

12. Warranty Transfer
This warranty is non-transferable. It applies only to the original purchaser. If you sell or transfer your printer to someone else, the new owner does not have warranty coverage.
However, if you purchase a used printer from an original owner, you may be eligible for paid repair services or replacement parts.
13. Warranty for EU Customers
13.1 Legal Warranty Rights
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have legal warranty rights under EU Directive 2019/771 and national implementing laws. These rights are in addition to the commercial warranty provided in this policy.
13.2 Minimum 2-Year Warranty
Under EU law, sellers are liable for defects that exist at the time of delivery and become apparent within two years from delivery. During the first year, it is presumed that defects existed at delivery unless the seller proves otherwise.
13.3 Relationship to This Policy
This commercial warranty policy does not limit or replace your statutory rights. If you are an EU consumer, you may have additional remedies available under applicable law.
14. Warranty for Other Regions
14.1 Australia
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
14.2 United Kingdom
As a consumer in the UK, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This commercial warranty is in addition to your statutory rights.
14.3 Other Regions
For customers in other regions, this warranty policy governs the terms of warranty coverage. You may have additional rights under local consumer protection laws.
15. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
Our liability under this warranty is limited to repair, replacement, or refund as described in this policy
We are not liable for any consequential, incidental, special, or indirect damages
We are not liable for lost profits, lost time, wasted materials, or damage to other property
We are not liable for any claims by third parties
Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price you paid for the product
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
