The Manker MK39 Ranger flashlight is one impressive chunk of aircraft-grade aluminium with premium Type III hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish. Despite its awe inspiring stature is sits very comfortably in the hand and thanks to the positioning of the handle the thumb naturally engages with the operating controls seamlessly. For long periods of use a shoulder strap is provided for easy carry.
The MK39 has a lumen output of 6000 lumens with a choice of flood or focused beam making it a very adaptable lighting tool. Search and rescue teams take note. This torch is capable of an incredible 1100 metre throw. At the touch of the button the beam will ramp up from one lumen all the way to 6000 in unnoticeable increments, allowing the user to halt the process and choose the right amount of light for the job in hand. Plus it has a strobe which can be a very handy tool in an emergency.
Runtimes vary depending on the output being used but the MK39 features a automatic cut out to preserve battery life and prevent overheating during heavy use. Whilst the 6000 lumen output is chosen the torch will drop to a lower level of power after three minutes. This will ensure a longer period of usage on one battery charge.
